Eta is a young woman with a slender figure, large blue eyes, and long, silver hair parted in two ponytails by a helmet with eye motifs. Eta appears before Gon after he enters Greed Island. She greets Gon and, after discovering his identity, relays a message left by her father. She then gives him a long and detailed explanation on how to play and beat the game. Eta allows Gon to enter the game, but emphasizes that her explanation was the bare minimum knowledge about the game and that he will have to figure out everything else on his own, finally wishing him good luck.[1] When the Phantom Troupe takes a boat to Greed Island, Eta detects them and describes them as intruders.[2]

Upon Killua's return to Greed Island after completing the 288th Hunter Exam, he is greeted by Eta. She asks if he would like an explanation of the game again, but he declines.[3] By the time Gon collects 99 Specified Slot Cards, Eta holds a 100-question test open to all Greed Island players, with the prize being the final Specified Slot Card, "Ruler's Blessing".[4] At the end of the test, Eta announces Gon as the winner with a score of 87/100 points.[5] List tells Gon that the game's title is derived from the initials of the Game Masters' first names, with Eta and Elena forming the two Es in "Greed".[6]
