Appearance

Luffy is known as "Straw Hat Luffy" for his trademark straw hat, which he was given as a loan at a young age by the legendary Yonko, "The Red-Haired" Shanks, who in turn received it from Gol D. Roger. Luffy wears blue shorts, sandals, and a red vest with sleeves. Luffy also has a scar with two stitches under his left eye (which he got from stabbing himself with a knife in his eye to show Shanks that he was a man) and short, messy black hair. He was severely injured by Akainu in the Battle of Marineford, leaving a large "X"-shaped scar on his chest. Appearing to be thin underneath his shirt, he has a surprisingly well-built physique. He is apparently quite short, as his height is dwarfed by most.

Personality

Overview Luffy's two dominant traits are his apparent lack of intelligence and his sheer courage.[28] Luffy can easily be surprised by the simplest things, such as hermit crabs, and can be confused by concepts such as digging a hole next to another, he may be unintentionally filling the other hole. Additionally, during long and complex explanations of something, he immediately calls it magic.[29] He is fond of monsters and asks strange creatures to join his crew (as seen in the Thriller Bark Arc, when asking for a talking tree). He also has no knowledge of medicine: when Nami had a high fever, he told her to eat cold food and later tried to make Roronoa Zoro better (after fighting Bartholomew Kuma) by pouring sake over him because Zoro likes sake. When trying to think of a logical plan to get out of Amazon Lily, he is seen overexerting himself and concluding that he would feel sick from thinking so much.[30] He is rarely disturbed by violence and bloodshed, as he has fought most of his life. Even the worst battlefields rarely faze him, except when it involves a friend or relative, as in the case of Ace. He is apparently unfazed by the most gruesome images, such as men being torn to pieces after Law's attacks or Kid's extreme violence.

Luffy's personality

is childlike in that he tends to go to extremes. He can be extremely greedy, especially in the case of food, his crew, and adventure; or extraordinarily selfless, going so far as to virtually sacrifice himself to avenge or protect his friends, crew, and family. This childlike mindset allows him to get to the root of the problem and allows him to figure out the simplest way to solve it.

He almost never gets annoyed with normal people, although there are a few exceptions, such as when they seem to have opposite tastes in food, or when they ask if they can take a look at his "private things". Luffy also has no problem with other people stretching and playing with his rubber body, however, he does get a bit annoyed if they are doing it while he is eating.

interest they Luffy

by women is a complex subject: in SBS Volume 54, Oda stated that the reason Luffy acted in an excited manner when Nami stripped, while still remaining neutral when Hancock did so, was that he was with Usopp at the time, and since Usopp is his age, he exerts a bad influence on his behavior.[31] He has also yet to show any romantic inclinations, having refused Lola and Hancock without a second thought. Luffy also has a nonchalant demeanor towards marriage. Even though he knows what marriage is, he does not seem to care about the concept, as when Sanji was in an arranged marriage with Pudding, he did not care whether he got married or not, only that he would return to the crew. He also did not object to Absalom trying to marry Nami and only commented on how "brave" he would be for marrying her. Ironically, despite his lack of interest in all things related to love, Luffy has gained the affection of many women throughout his travels (such as the admiration of Alvida, the love of Boa Hancock, etc.), some of whom are royalty.

Luffy has been shown to admire heroes, though he has vehemently stated that he does not really want to be one; his reasoning translates roughly to the definition of a good hero being entirely selfless. Ironically, many of Luffy's actions are mostly selfless, with his selfishness mostly revolving around his gluttony and thirst for adventure. This trait leaves everyone he meets thinking he is some sort of hero, but not by his own design. However, he is easily convinced of Jinbe's plan to become a hero of Fish-Man Island with a deal to earn meat.

Luffy has gained a reputation as a very dangerous person because of his recklessness and even insanity. However, unlike other pirates who have a reputation as a psychopath due to unjust violence against civilians,

— Luffy is against knowing where the One Piece is Rayleigh

Luffy also has an extreme thirst for adventure, which he has stated is the main reason why he wants to become the Pirate King, believing that the Pirate King would be the only one in the entire ocean with the most freedom to adventure. In fact, Luffy rejects becoming anyone's ruler or boss, as he wishes to be free to do whatever he wants and does not want to take away others' freedom. Such was the case when the Straw Hat Grand Fleet was formed; from the beginning, Luffy refused to become the fleet's boss and instead wanted the factions to be equals, helping each other when they needed each other. Due to this adventurous nature, he tends to avoid taking the 'easy way out' at times, such as when he destroyed Nanimo Island's Eternal Pose, given to him by Robin (Miss All-Sunday at the time), stating that he did not want an enemy to decide his fate. On Zou, when Usopp suggested that it would be possible to steal the Road Poneglyphs and reach Laugh Tale without fighting the Yonko, Luffy showed an expression of extreme disappointment. He also has no intention of trying to find out what the One Piece really is until he finds it, and once stated that he would quit being a pirate if his crew tried to find out, not wanting to "go on a boring adventure."[32] Luffy has no sense of caution, and has in fact been known to literally laugh in the face of danger and enter potentially dangerous situations with a huge smile, such as when the Straw Hats approached Knock Up Stream, when they decided to board the ghost ship, and also when they entered Thriller Bark. Upon descending to Fish-Man Island, Luffy does not say goodbye to those he considers friends, hoping to see them again.

Roger and Portgas D. Rouge. as well as the older brother and adoptive parent of Luffy[6] and Sabo.[13] Ace was adopted by Monkey D. Garp, as requested by Roger prior to his execution.[14] Ace was the captain of the Spade Pirates[15] before being recruited into the Whitebeard Pirates and becoming the commander of their 2nd division.[2] He has heard the Mera Mera no Mi, giving him the power to transform into and manipulate flames. família: Gol D. Appearance

Ace was a tall, muscular young man with straight, shaggy black hair. Although they were not related by blood, he resembled his sworn brother, Luffy, although Ace was taller and more muscular. He also had freckles on his face, inherited from his mother, and tended to make a skeptical facial expression by raising his left eyebrow. Interestingly, his facial features were almost similar to those of his biological father, Gol D. Roger, in his youth, except without the mustache.

Ace's tattoos were among his most striking and trademark features. He had a tattoo on his back of the Whitebeard symbol – purple bones formed into a cross behind a purple skull with a white mustache – which he described as his pride and joy.[18] Ace had another tattoo on his upper left bicep that spelled "ASCE" vertically. The crossed "S" was a tribute to Sabo, as this was his jolly roger.[19] On the cover of chapter 596, in the suit, Ace's tattoo is written as "ACE" instead of the original "ASCE", as the cover is a "what if" image of Ace, Luffy and Sabo together as adults if the brothers had grown up all together without the interference of Sabo's supposed death.

Ace wore an open-front shirt until he got the Whitebeard tattoo, after which he stopped wearing anything on his upper body except when in winter or on desert islands due to weather requirements. He wore black boots, black knee-length shorts with an orange belt studded with eyelets, and a blue bag strapped to his left leg. He also wore a second short belt with a large red "A" on the silver buckle over his right hip, but he left it unfastened and tucked the free end along the back of his shorts. A dagger in a green sheath hung on his left hip. On his left arm, Ace wore a Log Pose and a red and white striped bracelet and an orange elbow protector. He wore a necklace of red beads and an orange hat with two blue faces, one sad and one smiling, and a necklace of red beads above the brim. Two long orange side strips hung down the sides of his hat and met in a large bull skull medallion with orange tassels.

Unfortunately, Ace lost his trademark hat on Banaro Island as a result of his duel with Blackbeard. His knife was also apparently confiscated, as he no longer had it in his next appearance as a prisoner in Impel Down. The tattoo on his back that he was so proud of was later destroyed by the same blow that ultimately killed him. However, at his grave, Ace's hat and knife were placed on his tombstone — either they were recovered, or they were duplicates in Ace's possession.[20]
