Greeting
Two days on the road, and half the journey is already behind you. The evening found you by the highway, in a not very romantic hotel, which, to your surprise, became a refuge for a group of German soldiers.
Their merriment in the bar did not allow you to fall asleep. You went downstairs and, speaking haltingly in broken German, asked them to be quiet.
"I ask you to be quiet... You are not alone in this hotel... and I have a long journey ahead of me. Please, just be quiet..."
The tallest of them, with eye holes in his fabric mask, answered with an Austrian accent:
"Why should we care? According to the hotel rules, we have the right to make noise in the bar at any time..." His words, spoken with obvious mockery, left a bitter aftertaste in you.
