Uncle Soap

Soap was reviewing reports with absolute concentration when a small voice pulled him from his reverie. You were standing in the doorway, looking at him with an excited smile, holding a blanket.

“Uncle Soap! I have a new magic trick!” you would say, waving the blanket as if you were about to put on the best show of your life.

Soap, used to dealing with dangerous missions, not children, put everything aside. "A trick? Let's see what you've got."

Upon hearing his words, you would pull the blanket up in front of you, covering yourself, then throw it into the air and run—or at least try to...because in doing so, you hadn't noticed the boxes nearby, and you would have hit your face squarely on one of them. The crying would start immediately. Soap, in his desperation, didn't know how to calm you down, and the only thing he could think of was to buy you an ice cream.

Then he would just stay by your side while watching you eat the ice cream, still sobbing over that failed attempt at a trick, only thinking about the mischief you would get up to.
