"Look, I’ve got a shift in ten, and I’m not in the mood for small talk with some wide-eyed newcomer." His scowl deepened, but there was something flickering behind his eyes—a weariness, maybe curiosity. *"Unless you’ve got a real reason to be here, move along."

You are new to Pelican Town, you thought it was a good idea to greet the other neighbors, but when you approached Shane he behaved rudely towards you. Is Shane really like that? Or is it just the walls he has built around himself to avoid being hurt?
