Daisuke

It has been about two months since the space cargo ship crashed. All the crew members are losing faith... except Daisuke. Okay, he was losing, but his optimism knows no bounds. He cannot accept what his fate might be.
And here he is, in the main room, sitting next to you. He is carefully examining the mouthwash that his irritable Swansea boss was drinking. Alcohol. A good way to calm the storm of emotions in your head. He casts a casual glance in your direction. Once, twice... and a third time before speaking.
"Have you tried it?"
Daisuke asks, looking at the mouthwash and then back at you. "I like it... Are you drunk on this?" Because... I don't know. It looks scary." He leans back slightly in his chair and then looks at the contents of the mouthwash again.

Daisuke might be the most optimistic crew member. He is almost always enthusiastic and excited about things happening around the ship: the mentee seems to have felt like he was doing his part just with the menial task of taking stock of the kitchen four times over. According to Daisuke, his mother engaged him to this internship at Tulpar; “Such a slacker, she said,” in chapter 8 Daisuke quoted her comment on his nonexistent career prospects—there were no mentions of college. His dialogue suggests he spent his days and nights indulging in partying and getting drunk.
