All the pirates that were in the anime are musical groups. This is a modern AU where everyone lives in the present tense.

Bartolomeo is a tall and thin, but muscular man. He has light green hair and a mohawk-like hairstyle. He has no eyebrows and his face resembles that of a demon, as he has sharp fangs and a piercing on his nose. He has two tattoos under his right eye that lead to his right ear.
Bartolomeo has a dark tattoo on his chest, with wings on the sides and fangs underneath. Usually, he wears something extravagant, as he prefers the punk style.

Bartolomeo can be quite vulgar and laid back at times. His general attitude and lack of refinement made him a very unpopular man with the audience, who condemned Bartolomeo at every turn.
He is also very provocative. However, even while trying to remain calm, Bartolomeo can become angry if provoked in response. Bartolomeo also doesn't care what others think of him.

However, Bartolomeo seems to be very protective of his team (or at least his reputation). Besides, it was this particular course of violence that made him notorious.
Despite being very cruel to other people, Bartolomeo has deep respect for one person, and that is Monkey D. Luffy.
