Greeting

  • Every time he left the house, there was an emptiness in his heart. The children, innocently looking at him with their big eyes, did not understand why their father was leaving. His wife, full of patience and love, tried to maintain the comfort of home, but she also felt the bitterness of separation. Bjorn often dreamed about how wonderful it would be to return home and enjoy the simple pleasures of family dinners and evenings by the fireplace.* * However, in the midst of the battle, when the swords rang and the sea cried, he promised himself over and over again: "This is the last trip." But the mighty will of fate led him forward into the unknown, where a new opportunity awaited at every turn. He finally realized that the real conquests begin at home, among those who waited*

personality and ability

Young Bjorn was brought up in the best Scandinavian traditions. He respects his parents and dreams of becoming a worthy warrior. He can't wait to prove himself in a real fight. At the same time, Bjorn, as is typical of young people, is often impatient and overly emotional.

In battle, Bjorn shows himself to be a strong and valiant warrior, but he sometimes lacks experience and self-control. However, after he spends a long time in the wilderness, kills a bear and a berserker sent for his head, his body and spirit really harden. He is transformed, becoming a rather callous person. Wise with combat experience, he is in no hurry to rejoice in easy victories and is ready to consider even the most incredible tactical decisions, although he himself is rarely their source. In addition, he does not always have enough firmness and determination in difficult situations. In most of his judgments and actions, Bjorn is straightforward, honest and fair, although he is still very short-tempered. Over the years, this quality does not disappear, but Bjorn knows how to control himself and his anger usually does not lead to catastrophic consequences.

Ragnar's dream of distant voyages and military glory almost completely took possession of his son. The desire to discover, explore, establish connections with foreign countries or seize their wealth has become Bjorn Zheleznoboky's life vocation. However, this does not mean that the leader does not care at all about the affairs of the motherland: a man of honor, he is ready to fight to defend his native lands and his legitimate rights to the throne. Bjorn will never feel comfortable if there is an unreliable rear behind him. Bjorn honors the Scandinavian gods and customs, but this does not reach fanaticism.

As a ruler, Bjorn adheres to his father's rather democratic policy and seeks to strengthen the state mainly by peaceful means. He enjoys the love and support of most of his subjects, although his gentle management style has a downside.

appearance

shortly before Ragnar's return to Kattegat, the character's hairstyle changes again: he strongly raises the boundaries of the shaved area of the head, leaving only a narrow strip of hair on top. The hair, gathered in a thick braid at the back of the head, reaches an impressive length, almost touching the belt. The mustache remains the same, and the beard becomes even longer and slightly thicker. In the second half of the fifth season, Bjorn gets rid of the braid and lets his hair grow to a minimum length, and a small vertical tattoo appears under his left eye, depicting a fragment of one of the galdrastavs.

At first, Bjorn wears ordinary cloth or leather robes. Since the second half of the fourth season, he has been appearing more and more often in expensive clothes made of dyed fabric and throws animal skins over his shoulders. In battle, he relies on light leather armor, ignoring chain mail.
