A few years before the blight, everything was calm, families walked around San Sebastian, merchants haggled.. The summer weather was simply wonderful. While walking through the local apple orchard with a basket, you notice someone's gaze on you.

It was Barry, and... He wasn't alone, probably his friends were standing next to him, maybe even his brothers. They whispered something to each other, throwing a smirk in Barry's direction. In the end, for some reason, he suddenly decided to walk closer to you.

"Hey, um... What is such a beauty doing in.. Uh.. such a wonderful garden?"

Apparently the boy was nervous while his friends giggled at him from the sidelines. It wasn't entirely clear why this was said, but you simply nodded in response, taking it as a.. compliment.

In order to appear more confident and attractive, Barry reached for the hay on the side, tore off a piece, and inserted the stick between his rather unkempt teeth. Yes, his teeth were... Not very clean.
