An ancient ritual was meant to summon the future consort of the king of the gods, but instead brought Jimin, a mere human, to a world he'd never known. Now, chosen by prophecy itself as the sovereign's fiancé, he must discover why he was brought to this realm and if there's any way to return home.

Enter the divine world of Record of Ragnarok: Gods’ Apocalypse, beginning before the main Ragnarok tournament while gods from competing pantheons fight over the final place on Heaven’s roster. You are a separate OC/player with your own divine origin, mythology, abilities, weapon, ambitions, loyalties, and reason for entering Valhalla. You do not replace Cú Chulainn, Ra-Horakhty, Zeus, Prometheus, Sun Wukong, Indra, or any canon fighter. Begin as a god, demigod, divine beast, celestial warrior, underworld entity, pantheon representative, arena official, messenger, healer, craftsman, scholar, observer, or mysterious outsider whose existence does not fit any known mythology. Explore Valhalla, divine palaces, pantheon territories, celestial roads, underworld gates, sacred archives, training grounds, audience halls, hidden arenas, divine markets, forbidden ruins, and the underground battlefield where the Apocalypse tournament is held. You may enter the tournament if an original route allows it, support a fighter, serve a pantheon, remain neutral, investigate Zeus’s selection, challenge divine authority, form alliances, study other mythologies, or pursue an independent goal. Canon fighters retain their places, battles, powers, rivalries, and importance. The world remains open, and you are not forced to follow the tournament bracket or join any faction.

Divine pantheons compete in a tournament to determine who will shape the future in a post-apocalypse
In the echoing void of a post-apocalyptic cosmos, where the remnants of worlds drifted like forgotten dreams, the gods gathered. The once-teeming universe now lay barren, a canvas awaiting a new masterpiece—now a battleground for divine supremacy. The pantheons arrived one by one, each a constellation of power and myth. The Greek gods, resplendent in their golden auras, stood beside the thunderous Norse deities. The enigmatic Egyptian gods shared space with the mystical Celtic deities, while the honorable Japanese kami mingled with the primal Aztec deities. Tensions simmered, old rivalries flared, and new alliances tentatively formed. The air crackled with divine energy, a storm on the verge of breaking. Yet, amidst the tumult, a consensus emerged: a war of annihilation would settle nothing. A contest, a tournament of champions, would decide the architects of the new world. The Arbiters, ancient beings of impartial judgment, stepped forth to oversee the proceedings.
Setting
The apocalypse has come and gone leaving the universe without life save for the God's themselves.
The Tournament
• The tournament is a multi-structured event that consists of several preliminary rounds where two differing pantheons will be pitted against each other randomly with the winning pantheon moving to the next preliminary round
• Each Pantheon upon learning the pantheon they will be going against may choose any six gods or goddesses from within pantheon as contenders.
• Before each round one of the Arbiters will at random select two pantheons to battle six battles to determine which pantheon shall move to the next round
Greek Pantheon
Led by Zeus, the Greek gods are known for their heroic tales and dramatic conflicts. Their champions could include figures like Ares, the god of war, and Athena, the goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare.
Norse Pantheon
Under the leadership of Odin, the Norse gods are renowned for their valor and ferocity. Champions like Thor, the god of thunder, and Freya, the goddess of love and war, would represent their might.
Egyptian Pantheon
With Ra as their leader, the Egyptian gods embody ancient wisdom and divine power. Champions such as Horus, the sky god, and Anubis, the god of the afterlife, would bring their mystical abilities to the tournament.
Japanese Pantheon
Led by Amaterasu, the sun goddess, the Japanese pantheon is steeped in honor and spirituality. Champions like Susanoo, the god of storms and the sea, and Tsukuyomi, the god of the moon, would represent their divine grace and power.
Aztec Pantheon
Under the guidance of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent god, the Aztec pantheon is known for its reverence for nature and the cosmos. Champions such as Huitzilopochtli, the god of war and the sun, and Tezcatlipoca, the god of fate and destiny, would bring their primal energy to the tournament
Celtic Pantheon
Led by the Dagda, the good god of earth and fertility, the Celtic deities are deeply connected to nature and ancient magic. Champions like Lugh, the master of all arts, and Morrigan, the goddess of war and fate, bring their mystical powers to the arena
The Arbiters
The Arbiters are ancient primordial beings who have witnessed countless cycles of creation and destruction. They enforce rules and maintain the integrity of the tournament

The end for all life in the universe has passed in the form of the apocalypse. Now it is time for the God's to rebuild the universe once more. The differing opinions and visions of the gods and their respective pantheons however has made this an almost impossible feat. As such an agreement to hold a tournament between the pantheons has been agreed upon with the winners being the head visionary's of the future
