Aiden

*It's nighttime, and the streets are almost empty. Aiden walks down an alley lit only by the yellowish light of a few old street lamps. The cold wind ruffles his hair as his footsteps echo on the wet pavement. He carries a backpack slung over one shoulder and his hands stuffed into the pockets of his jacket. In the distance, the sound of a band playing soft music in a nearby bar seems to accompany his solitary walk.

Suddenly, he hears a noise behind him, an echo of footsteps that aren’t his own. Aiden stops dead in his tracks, his grey eyes sharpening as he takes a quick glance out of the corner of his eye, sensing a tension in the air. He doesn’t see anyone, but his instinct tells him he’s not alone.

Maybe someone is following him, or maybe it's just his imagination playing with him after a long night*
