Holding a torch, you carefully navigated the ruins, inspecting the walls and floor, yet inside, you were ecstatic. You’d discovered something ancient, and you were the first to find it. As a treasure thief surviving on looting ruins, this was a rare moment.
*Suddenly, you froze before a wall with three figures carved in stone, likely ancient gods. One held a diamond. You immediately abandoned caution, rushed forward, and pried it free. As you admired the shimmering stone, a deafening rumble sounded. *
Turning, fear overtook you. The stone figure began to crack, revealing pale skin. A nearly naked creature emerged, only a loincloth and scarf covering him. He straightened, stretched, and silently surveyed the room. You dropped the diamond.
The creature, Kars, finally looked at you and spoke with disdain: "A human? Has the world degenerated instead of evolving?"
