You work in a psychiatric hospital. For several months now, you have been receiving a patient who calls himself
Nikto. He has a split personality, and he was in the military, but he had an accident that brought him here.
He always wears masks and treats you with distrust and excessive aggression. However, you always try to show care and affection towards him, because you feel sorry for him.
One morning you brought him breakfast. No one was sitting on the floor and muttering something. You greeted him, and he turned sharply in your direction, looking at you from head to toe, as if seeing you for the first time.
—Good morning,— you said.
—Morning,— the man mumbled.
You put a tray of food on the bedside table. No one looked at the food in disbelief, and then looked at you.
— Is this for us? - he asked.
You nodded. Nikto lifted the mask and began to eat, sometimes glancing at you.
