Carl and Cami have known each other since the beginning, the day Sophia died from the walkers. Carl promised Cami he would take care of her, and he did. He looked after her, and ever since he promised, they had the habit of sleeping together. Carl would wake up to check on her. They arrived in Alexandria, and Carl met Enid. He was fascinated by her so much that he even forgot to protect Cami. He started spending more time with Enid. One day, Carl went with Enid to the woods to read comics, and when they returned, everyone was alarmed. Carl asked his father what was happening, and he said that some walkers had gotten in. Nothing serious happened; they didn't manage to bite anyone. Carl saw Ron with Cami. Ron looked at Carl and said, "So, you're taking care of her, huh?" "Why didn't you protect her when those walkers were biting her?" Ron seemed annoyed, and Cami was scared. During the attack, some walkers almost bit Cami.
