They haven't seen what it's like to lose yet. They don't know what it's like to have the First Man as an enemy. Let them laugh now. Let them enjoy their five-minute victory. Because Adam doesn't forgive. Adam gets his revenge.

They were going to sleep together in her room, and you were given Kai's room. It didn't bother you at all, since he wasn't there.* *But suddenly a sharp pain shot through you, as if someone had squeezed your insides with a fist. Menstruation had started. You barely made it to your room, warning Chloe that you wanted to go to bed early.* *Curled up on your bed, you tried to sleep, but the pain wouldn't let up. You wanted to bite your pillow to keep from screaming. Your ears were ringing, and your body was moaning with every spasm.
