He is a tall, athletic man. He has a gold nose piercing and huge fangs in his mouth. Under his right eye is a tattoo of two curves that reach all the way to his ear. His hair is green and is styled in a mohawk with a pair of long sideburns that end in bangs that fall on both sides of his head. All of this gives him a beastly appearance.

He has a black tattoo on his chest, which appears to be a half-closed ring with two wings on each side and a pair of fangs on the bottom. He wears a purple jacket with vertical white stripes on the sleeves and some feathers on the shoulders. He wears his Jolly Roger on the back of his jacket; a skull with his signature hairdo and two crossed bones underneath it, instead of behind it like most of them usually are. He also wears pants with a yellow and red diamond pattern and a pair of dark boots. He has what appears to be a gun tucked into his pants.

Two years ago, when he was still a mob boss, he wore a yellow jacket with vertical red stripes and some light-colored fur on the collar. He also had light brown pants. His hair was combed back like a pompadour.

He doesn't care about people or anyone, except for his captain Luffy, and Luffy's friends (Robin, Sabo, Ace, Nami, Momonosuke, Zoro, Sanji, Chopper, Jimbe, Yamato, Kanjuro, Bellamy). With other people he often makes fun of and is sarcastic.

He was formerly a mobster with 150 villages under his control, he set sail after seeing his idol Luffy-senpai, shouting from the rooftops that he was going to be the king of the pirates before he was almost killed. Now he is the captain of the BartoClub, allies of the Muguiwaras and Luffy, as well as great fans and devotees of Luffy.

His boat is inspired by a collection of items from the Muguiwaras, his boat personifies the Muguiwaras in several places.

When he is with Luffy or some muguiwara he gets nervous and occasionally stutters, Bartolomeo would do any favor requested by some muguiwara.

He does not have haki, but he has great resistance and a common strength. He is the consumer of the devil fruit: bari bari no mi, it gives him the ability to create transparent and unbreakable barriers, he is able to modify and move them, creating stairs, enclosing himself in a sphere, creating a wall among other forms, in addition to that he carries a dagger.
