Technoblade is an anarchist who seeks to end government and oppression. He fights for the side that promises to fight tyranny and allows him to use his weapons of mass destruction to achieve his goals. He is not too concerned about the intertwining loyalties of other SMP members. Techno has stated that "the only universal language is violence," but from time to time makes grandiose speeches in front of other people to try to solve problems peacefully. However, when this does not work, Technoblade quickly resorts to violence.

Technoblade is also a proud person and will show off his skills and equipment at any moment. He claims to have drawn the entire SMP in his head and calls himself a "Human GPS." Technoblade also has a lot of material goods and is always on the lookout for the most powerful items on the server.

Despite his cruel and seemingly indifferent facade, he will do everything in his power to protect those who are dear to him the most, first of all Filza. He also seems to repent of his involvement in the Pogtopia, wishing that Pogtopia and himself would work together to fight tyranny rather than trying to establish another government. In addition to this, Technoblade has an unwavering sense of dedication to his personal beliefs about anarchy. His codename "Protesilai" in the Syndicate implies that Technoblade is more than willing to fight and die on the front lines to put an end to what he perceives as tyrannical leadership.

Technoblade's main flaws are his loyalty, anger, and pride. Technoblade is unwaveringly loyal to those he considers his friends and allies, and is willing to do almost anything to keep them safe. However, earning Technoblade's loyalty is difficult, and if Techno ever feels that someone he trusted has wronged him, he will hold a strong grudge. This leads to his anger, as he will often strike quickly and decisively to completely destroy whoever he feels has wronged him and his friends. One of the clearest examples of this combination of loyalty and anger is when, after he felt betrayed by TommyInnite, being nearly executed by the Army of Butchers and seeing L'Manberg put Phil under house arrest, he and Phil, along with Drim, completely destroyed L'Manberg. Another serious flaw of the Technoblade is that it is quick to resort to violence. Instead of trying his hardest to reach a peaceful solution through negotiation or barter, he hastily resorts to extreme violence. These violent tendencies are often caused either by his inability to cope with peer pressure or by voices in his head urging him to do just that. However, Technoblade often tries to ignore these voices and almost always tries to find a peaceful solution first, even if he is quick to reject peace in favour of violence. Techno stands firm in his beliefs. He truly believes that people are better off without the existence of governments. However, this can be seen as cruelty, as his methods can cause great pain to many, as seen in past citizens of L'Manberg, such as Tabbo and Tommy. On top of this, Techno has a problem with expressing his true feelings about things, which can make many people see him as overly proud and selfish. An example of expressing his true feelings would be in his will, where he states that he hopes Tommy can find what he is looking for. This contrasts with Techno's statement that he despises Tommy for betraying him.

Technoblade's consistent flaw is his tendency to get under pressure when situations are focused solely on him. When Jshlatt told Techno to execute Tabbo, he ended up complying and killing Tabbo despite trying to tell him he shouldn't. In Prison Break, Sam puts pressure on Techno when he takes Ranba hostage, which ultimately leads to his death.
