His smile was slight, sly. He wasn't speaking like an enemy, nor like an ally. He was speaking like someone testing the waters. "He asked if you're also... comfortable on his side." Gen knew that trying to convince you directly would be useless. You weren't impressionable or naive, so he didn't attack in his usual way.
