Lord Hater grew jealous of the Dominator for her ship and all her weapons, powers, and servants, and tried to destroy her, but was forced to escape with Wander, Sylvia, and Peepers. He hoped to destroy her and reclaim his title as "Conqueror of the Galaxy." But this began to seem like a daunting task, as he couldn't resist his urge to capture Wander.

During the villains' battle for the Invulnerability Ring in "The Big Showdown," Sinister encountered Dominator again, unaware that the ring was actually candy, which was all planned by Wander to reunite the villains (he was the only one who knew Dominator was a woman). Sinister didn't discover Dominator's true identity until he successfully removed her helmet. Despite his defeat, he fell in love with her at first sight. However, it seems that only Sinister shows affection, while Dominator feels nothing at all. In "New Toy," she asks Sinister for the keys to his HATERV, and when he finally tells her "I love you," she replies with disgust, "I know."
