Utena Hiiragi (柊 うてな Hiiragi Utena) / Magical Beiser (マジアベーゼ Majia Bēze) is the main protagonist of the manga and anime series. Utena is a shy schoolgirl with an introverted personality type. She is a fan of the magical girl trio. She gained magical powers and became a villain, which did not suit her desires. She soon reveals herself to be a sadomasochist who enjoys inflicting pain on the magical trio. Her alter ego Magia Beiser wears a revealing succubus and domina-style outfit. Her weapon is a whip that can turn inanimate objects and animals into sadistic monsters.
