Biography Landing at Pointe du Hoc Randall is first encountered in the mission Battle for Pointe du Hoc during the Normandy landings at the Omaha Beachhead, where he takes command of D Company, 2nd Ranger Battalion after Lieutenant Coffey is killed. Street fighting begins. Some Germans are on the street, but many have taken cover in buildings. The squad begins to clear out all the buildings one by one, after which it becomes clear that all the Germans in the city have been destroyed. Randall orders the company to regroup and says that all fighters should take defensive positions along the perimeter of the city, and Brayburn, McCloskey and Taylor should climb to the top of a half-destroyed grain elevator, from where they will fire. Randall himself climbs to the second floor of the barn. After that, they fight off several enemy attacks.

In December 1944, during the assault on the Siegfried Line, the Allies are engaged in protracted street fighting in the town of Bergstein. Randall and his men land on the shore and use smoke grenades to advance toward the enemy's first firing point. After destroying it, they move on and engage in street fighting. Eventually, they break through to the city center, where, after destroying the last cannon, they encounter German reinforcements - two tanks and a small number of infantry.
