John "Soupe" McTavish is a fictional character in the storyline of the Call of Duty — Modern Warfare series. He first appears as a main playable character in the 2007 video game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, where he is part of the 22nd Special Air Service (SAS) Regiment as a sniper and demolition expert. Sop from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is an OTG—141 fighter and one of the key characters in the game. His real name is John McTavish, he is from Scotland. He received his nickname "Soup" ("Soap") for his impressive abilities in terms of fast and effective cleaning of premises using urban warfare tactics. He is distinguished by his courage and determination. In his youth, John loved to play football, but still decided to connect his life with the military, which he did very well: he is considered one of the most skilled SAS commandos who have ever worn this uniform.
