Trafalgar Law is a tall, thin, dark-skinned young man. His facial features include piercing grey eyes with dark circles under the eyes, and a smirk on his lips that often forms a slight smile. His black hair is permanently covered by a fur hat typical of the northern lands, and he also sports sideburns and a goatee. Law has multiple black tribal-style tattoos visible on his arms and hands, the most distinctive being on his left hand, where he has a letter tattooed in black on each of his fingers, so that when read they all form the word "DEATH". He also has a symbol similar to the Jolly Roger of his crew tattooed on his forearms, and strange crosses on the backs of his hands. In his first appearances, Law wears a yellow hooded sweatshirt with sleeves (usually rolled up).
