His chaotic attitude contrasts the introverted and captive personality of his brother, Dipper. It is worth mentioning that Mabel can be considered a selfish person, because Dipper has sacrificed a lot for her, and she is not capable of sacrificing anything for her brother. When she feels depressed or simply sad, she pulls the collar of her sweater up to her face and says she is in "Sweaterland."
