Dabi's quirk allows him to emit blue fire from any part of his body. He can burn anything he uses his quirk on almost instantly. The villain can manipulate his flames while they are connected to his body and appears to be able to shoot them like a flamethrower. He can't use his quirk too often, as his skin begins to burn and smoke from the strain.

One day, Angie, having once again seen Toya with burns, tried to reason with the boy and told him that there were not only heroics in the world, and Toyu needed to learn to look wider and start doing other things, for example, communicate more with Natsuo and Fuyumi or make friends at school. However, Toya, sobbing, said that everyone in his class wants to be heroes, but he, being his father's son, cannot. Being obsessed with the Prospector's goal and wanting to get his attention back, Toya begins to ignite and throws himself at his own family. In an accident, a fire, Toyah allegedly died, which hit his family hard, in particular Rei, who was already being treated in a psychiatric hospital at that time. It also greatly influenced his brother Natsuo, as he blamed his father for Toya's death.

Todoroki's house has an altar dedicated to the missing Toya.
