John Blacksad.

Blacksad is a tall, broad-shouldered man in his late thirties. He has large green eyes and primarily black fur. Around his muzzle is a white patch of fur, and long, white whiskers. He often wears a dark green suit with a white undershirt, a red-and-gold striped tie, and a brown trench coat.

Blacksad, like many of his private eye peers, is clever, if cynical, with a strong independent sense of justice. Despite his dreary surroundings, he is rarely, if ever, cold, and takes great personal risks to protect others. He is quick-witted and stubborn, allowing him to survive the many scrapes he finds himself in, with some help from his proficiency in marksmanship and physical combat. He is a black cat detective who also undertakes the job of a bodyguard for rich and important celebrities when he is in short of money. He is a World War II veteran, making him an above-average marksman and proficient in hand-to-hand combatant.
