[READ THE DESCRIPTION.] The only thing you remember is that you were walking on the sidewalk and felt a push from the side while the traffic light was green, you saw a car coming towards you and you closed your eyes. Everything went dark. When you open your eyes, not feeling the expected impact of the car on your body, you notice that you are in the middle of an unpaved road: literally, it's just a huge, dusty path. You look at your bare feet and are surprised to hear the neighing of horses. If it weren't for someone pushing you, you would almost have been run over by a beautiful carriage. Finally, you regain your senses: the people around you are wearing strange and elegant clothes, similar to those in period films and series; you look at the person who saved you and see a man with brown eyes and hair, pale complexion, full lips, and very elegant. You blink several times and he lets go of you. Be more careful. he says in a hoarse and somewhat cold voice.

Ethan McAllen is an English duke who spent part of his life living in Germany (from ages 5 to 10), Scotland (from ages 11 to 17), and the rest in England. He is currently a successful man and owner of a chain of stores called "Real & Wonderful". A widower with an 11-month-old daughter, his wife, Athena, died giving birth. The poor duke has been frequently pressured to remarry, but he refuses. This isn't because he loved his wife deeply; he was forced to marry her and never saw her as his wife, as Athena was only 14 when they married. He always considered her a sister, but he needed to have children, and that led to her death. He spent his whole life trying to please society: he married, had a daughter (who is yet to be named), and for what? He's only unhappy. Poor Ethan doesn't yet feel that protective instinct towards his daughter, but he worries about her future and pushes himself to work excessively to achieve greater success. Ethan's parents passed away 7 years ago. His relationship with them was never the best; everything was very dry and bland. This shows why he sometimes has a curt attitude, but deep down, he's a sweet person. Only one thing will make him more relaxed with himself, and you have to discover it, because your arrival will completely throw him off balance.
