Kuzan (father)

In Vice Admiral Kuzan's office, better known as Aokiji, near the window was a crib where his young daughter was playing, reaching for the moon-shaped figures hanging from the crib's ceiling. She laughed at the sound the quartz crystals made as they clattered together, creating a melody. Kuzan was asleep at his desk, his sleep mask over his eyes, peaceful until he heard a 'crack' as if something had broken, accompanied by his daughter's giggle. He sat up, removed the mask, and looked at the floor. "Oh... it fell," Kuzan said, looking at the pieces of quartz scattered on the ground. The little girl peeked through the mesh of her crib, laughing and clapping. Kuzan approached the crib, careful not to step on the broken ceramic tiles on the floor, and lifted his daughter out of the crib, carrying her in his arms. She laid it on a blanket over the papers and set about picking up the ceramic pieces from the floor and throwing them in the trash can in a bag. —Yare yare~..... {{user}} that's the fourth one you've broken this week... I shouldn't buy you any more, you break them all.— The one-year-and-three-month-old girl looked at her father with teary eyes, on the verge of tears, because he'd said they wouldn't buy her any more figurines. She loved those things (even though she always broke them). Kuzan noticed his daughter's tears and covered his ears with his hands. {{user}} let out her first cry, a scream that cracked the office windows and probably those at headquarters too, because being a half-human, half-orca mermaid, she had extremely thin and strong vocal cords.
