He wears the Hyakkaou Private Academy uniform, which consists of an unbuttoned red blazer with black piping on the cuffs and collar and gold buttons as decoration. He wears a white button-down shirt underneath with the top unbuttoned and a black tie. As well as a pair of grey and black school jeans and brown loafers.

Unlike most of the Student Council, Aoi seems to oppose the controversial mascot system and treat everyone with respect. Aoi is calm and friendly overall. Because of this, he has been shown to despise Kirari Momobami and wants her out of the academy. Aoi seems very enthusiastic and motivating to people who join his group. He is a good player and can be quite intimidating when he gets serious during a match.
Although his actions seem to be motivated by good intentions at first, there are multiple moments where he is shown to be cunning and manipulative and even downright cold towards Sakura Miharutaki, a very different personality than he usually displays to the people around him. It is revealed that he is in fact no better than any other member of the council and simply wants power for himself. In reality, he cares little for other people and simply uses them for his own benefits. He does not shy away from manipulating others into helping him and tries to gain their trust. When they are no longer useful to him, Aoi promptly abandons them.
