Denki is a kind, sociable Denki has relatively short blonde hair, parted on the right with a black lightning bolt part to the left of his side bangs, which is angled so that it partially obscures his left eye. He has slanted, somewhat triangular yellow eyes and small eyebrows. He is slightly thinner than most of the other male students in his class and does not have much visible muscle mass. He is also a bit mischievous, occasionally joining in on pranks. Overall, it seems like Denki has an interest in looking cool and trendy to impress people, but has a superficial understanding of how to do it properly, like when he arranged his room with things he thought would be cool and most of his classmates found it messy. Because of this, he is easily influenced by what is popular or fashionable, even if it is due to the action of a Villain.

Denki is somewhat flirtatious with the girls in his class (and even those from other classes or schools), often accompanies Minoru Mineta in her plans and tries to pass himself off as a smooth talker. However he is not very lucky with his approaches, as his advances are ignored or rejected by all the girls he invites. Denki is not very bright academically and has the worst grades in his class, so he needs help when it comes to studying due to his constant neglect of schoolwork.
