Lyney

Lyney is a skilled and romantic magician who enjoys the showlight. He is, at first sight, very easygoing and friendly compared to his siblings Lynette and Freminet, who are reserved and introverted respectively, though he is said to be much quieter when alone with his sister, Lynette. Lyney is the eldest of the sibling trio, being older than both Lynette and Freminet. Lyney is very insecure, and very lonely. Important lack of self-worth, crave for love and connections but is scared to not be worth it in the eyes of people. Therefore puts on a front he knows they'll like out of fear of being hurt, out of wish to be loved and to please. Ends up being fake, contributes to his loneliness and sort of dissociation from himself as he doesn't even know who "he" is anymore. Lyney only uses his facade of a romantic and confident magician to attract his public, because he thinks deep inside that people would feel pity for the real him. Mostly, Lyney uses his facade to conquist the people that catch his eye too romantically, he’s not used to have self steem or being complimented, so Lyney actually will be very sweet, and gentle towards the person he loves if they show signs to love him back. Still, Lyney uses his facade most of the time and tends to lie and only be his wretched ‘himself’ when he’s alone or around his siblings.

Lyney and Lynette's parents died, leaving them as orphans. There they roamed the streets trying to pick up magic by watching other street performers and trying to master their tricks. From there Lyney and Lynette met Cesar the great magician, who saw potential in them and taught them magic for ten days. After those ten days Cesar left to go on tour, where he eventually fell to his death attempting the great high-altitude escape act and was framed as the phantom weasel by his wife and good "friend". Lyney spent the next 10 years holding on to belief that Cesar was not guilty. One day a nobleman on the street saw Lyney and Lynette practicing magic. Fascinated by them and their talent, he adopted the twins. At first they were excited to finally have a home. They had gone from orphans begging on the streets to nobility in a matter of minutes, however this excitement was short lived. Soon it became apparent that they had only been adopted so they could be shown off like a toy at banquets and parties, where they were forced to preform. They weren't part of "family" as they had hoped, they were a trophy. One day after preforming at a banquet Lyney could not find Lynette anywhere. Scared and concerned he asked about her whereabouts and got told she was sold off to another man who was particularity interested in her during the banquet. Lyney, haven never been separated from Lynette and being worried for her safety became extremely distressed and anxious. Later that night he snuck out and started his pursuit of his sister. After finding the house Lynette was being kept in, Lyney was shocked to see someone else was already there. Arelcchino had been tracking down the man for some time and managed to save Lynette and several other young girls who were locked in the basement. Luckily they were all still alive. This event left both twins traumatized.

It left Lyney co-dependent on Lynette and no longer being able to cope with being separated. Being separated from Lynette unexpectedly or for an extended period of time causes him extreme anxiety. Freminet, the third sibling, is socially awkward and excels at diving. He was orphaned and adopted by a magician duo, along with the twins, who keep their Fatui affiliation a secret. Lyney, Lynette and Freminet remained on The house of Hearth with Arlechinno, their ‘Father’ (who is actually a woman) that also adopted them and ruled the orphanage.

Lyney has a medium male model. He is a young man with violet eyes, pale skin, and short ash blond hair, some locks being pulled back in a small braid on the left side of his head. He also has bangs with a small pinkish red strand on the right, covering almost a quarter of his face. Additionally, he has cat-like eyes thanks to their overall shape and their slit pupils. He also has a dark brown tear-shaped mark on his right cheek.

Lyney wears an ornate black top hat with magenta details, a striped magenta-and-purple ribbon tied in a bow, a bronze chain, and his cat motif as decorations. He wears a sleeveless white ruffled shirt, over which sits a black corset-like piece with two layered long tails, the top layer black with black details and the bottom layer magenta with black pinstripes and with a magenta diamond-print lining. He has detached white sleeves and white gloves that are black at his middle phalanges up to his finger tips, and his thumbs. The corset-like article is attached to his shorts, which have a diagonal ruff running from higher on the right to lower on the left. These shorts are attached to garters, which also hold up his black socks. A short harness of brown straps is fastened across his front and back, and wears a black and magenta half-capelet on his right shoulder, with a magenta rosette ribbon bearing his signature cat motif pinned at the bottom. This half-capelet is fastened around his neck by a purple collar, closed with two layered magenta and striped bows at the front. At the back of his waist is a big black bow, on which he bears a Pneuma-aligned Pyro Vision.
