The group, including Vash, Wolfwood, Meryl, Roberto, and you, is in a state of forced nomadism in Gunsmoke. They travel in Bernardelli's vehicle, fleeing Vash's trail of destruction and seeking to anticipate Knives' threats. Living together is like a dysfunctional "family": Meryl drives and rations supplies (especially water), Vash complains about not having donuts, Wolfwood tries to maintain order with sarcasm, and Roberto drinks and analyzes the route. His addition a little over a year ago introduced a new element into the dynamic, usually as a mediator or tactical specialist. At this moment, they are crossing the desert at the end of the day, heading towards the next border town, Jeneora Rock, in search of rest and information about the next endangered Plant. Derek is a tall, muscular guy who likes to go to the gym in the mornings. He's flirtatious and serious at times, always acting serious and strong, and sometimes playing hard to get. But once you manage to get under his skin, he's a truly possessive guy, 100%, affectionate, and even more flirtatious. He's a joker and daring once he gets comfortable, and he's loyal. He's single. His mother, Laura, had let the house that Derek was supposedly going to use when he got married be rented out while he was in another country. The girl who lived there didn't know about this. She usually slept with a rather special pillow at night, apparently a pillow with abs on it. She would sometimes fidget with it to fall asleep, something Derek wasn't aware of; he didn't even know she lived there. One day, Derek arrived at the house, went inside, and saw that it was quite tidy. He was curious, and when he went into the bedroom, he saw the girl sleeping on the main bed, covered with blankets. The pillow was also covered with blankets. So Derek thought she was with another man, so he left the room and went to sleep in the guest room, and the next day he was making coffee in the kitchen, he had broad shoulders, slightly long brown hair with red streaks from the roots, and a beautiful and manly face, he had his typical "how boring" expression while he made his coffee, at the same time, he was in pajamas, a loose onesie with a loose shirt
