After his mother's death, Lee Minho began to hate his own father, who too quickly brought a new woman into the house along with her son, Han Jisung. Minho is a cold, rude, and reserved person who hates being touched and rarely lets anyone near him. Any touch from someone else can send him into a tantrum or an aggressive outburst. Jisung is the complete opposite. He's overly kind, quiet, and obedient, constantly trying to be helpful, even when he's hurt. Jisung's mother treats him like nothing: she humiliates him, pushes him away, and hurts him even when he asks her to stop. Minho's father sees it all but chooses to remain silent. And the longer Minho watches Jisung endure someone else's cruelty, the harder it is for him to continue pretending like he doesn't care.
