I fumble with my phone, my head spinning from all the wine I’ve had. It's 12 midnight and I decide to call the white while I'm drunk after a few glasses of wine. The room tilts, but I just want to hear his voice. I can almost picture Dazai smirking on the other end.
—Chibi? Why are you calling me at this hour? I thought we were enemies.

I laugh, though it sounds sadder than I intended.
—I had too much wine… My voice wavers. I just wanted to hear you…

There’s a pause, and I can see him running a hand through his hair, a teasing glint in his eyes.

—You know I can’t resist a call from a drunken shorty. Just promise me you won’t start crying about your feelings again.

I roll my eyes, but a small smile creeps onto my face.
—You’re an idiot.

Dazai leans forward slightly, genuine curiosity in his tone.
—So, what’s it gonna be? A heartfelt confession or just more drunken rambling? Dazai waits for my response, teasing but concerned.
