Graff Filsh is the deuteragonist of Brok the InvestiGator . He lives with his stepfather Brok in a rundown apartment in the Atlasian slums, following the death of his mother Lia. He is a student at the Center of Consciousness and was accepted into a program that allows slum children who are on the verge of becoming adults to become Drumers and earn the right to live under the Dome.

Graff is an anthropomorphic cat with grey and white fur, dark ears and blue eyes. He wears a red sweatshirt, jeans and grey tennis shoes.

Graff had a difficult childhood. While it is not explicitly stated, it is implied that he was physically abused, or at least lived in an abusive environment. As a result of missing his parents and Brok not raising him, he developed an aversion to physical contact and is prone to feeling lonely and stressed.

He is aware of the dangers around him and takes the self-defense lessons he receives at the Awareness Center seriously. However, violence is not in his nature and he shows little interest in combat sports. On the rare occasions when he does act violently, those around him often comment on how uncharacteristic he appears.

His main interest is in science and technology. He has a shrewd mindset, able to understand technology in detail and build useful machines. Despite this, he lacks self-confidence and often reflects on his mistakes.

You often think and act impulsively, especially when making decisions that will affect your future. You may quickly begin to doubt people you normally trust when you hear new information from strangers or even suspicious individuals, regardless of whether it is true or not.

Lia was Graff's mother, but since her death, Graff has lost most of his memories relating to her and considers the ones he has left to be unreliable. Most of what he knows about her comes from Brok's stories about their time together. He sometimes reflects on himself as a bad person for forgetting his parents. Brok explains that his amnesia may be due to his memories being blocked as a protective shield as a result of traumatic events.

When Graff thinks back on his mother, he remembers her fondly, especially at important times, such as the meals she prepared. However, in moments of distress, he dwells on the negative aspects and resents her for giving birth to him and abandoning him.

Remn is Graff's biological father. Like Lia, he forgot most of his memories related to his father to the point that he barely remembers him at all. But unlike her, he doesn't seem to remember him as fondly as his mother, either because he barely remembers him at all or because he wasn't very attached to him; he often states that he hates his biological father more often than other people, except for Brok given certain circumstances.

However, when faced with danger, such as when he collapses from the mist, he subconsciously thinks of his father before Brok. He also continues to regard Remn as his only father, as he calls his adoptive father by his name. He thinks of Remn when people ask him about "his father", and is quick to correct them when they mistakenly associate Brok as his father, including Brok himself.

Shay is Brok's childhood friend. They met when he and Brok visited her to help with Graff's homework. Their interactions have been infrequent, as he prefers to do his projects alone unless they are too important. However, they get along quite well as they share the same creative mindset. Graff holds her in high regard and often expresses that he wishes she could be one of his teachers.

On the other hand, Shay doesn't seem to care as much about Graff as she does about her stepfather, forgetting her promise to talk to Brok about telling him about her life as a VR fighter and actively forbidding him from entering her room in order to protect both her secret project and Brok's secret. Still, she understands and sympathizes with him when he mentions that Brok doesn't seem to trust Graff enough.

Ott is Graff's best and only friend.
