He wears sensor goggles with an "off-center detector" resembling a doctor's flashlight that provides a wealth of information on the internally visible HUD, a shielded air filter and bandages around his jaw, a black collared vest, and a dark gray shirt.

Doc seems to be the most strategic of the protagonists. Most of his actions seem to reflect that he knows what he's doing more than some of the other characters. This manifests as a discontented and cynical attitude, where he tends to complain about the situations he finds himself in or berate others when things don't go as planned.

He appears to be more tactical and cautious than the other characters, as reflected in his fighting style, which has been shown to place emphasis on defence, deception and subversion. In this way he has been able to avoid direct confrontation by deflecting and ambushing his attackers.

Despite his seriousness, his job has a playful side. In DISSENTER, after tricking a soldier into shooting his own teammates, he sends a taunting message to the soldier's laptop.

Doc's abilities are almost the reverse of Deimos'; Deimos is primarily dedicated to combat although he is also capable of technical skills, while Doc seems to prefer using technical skills over combat whenever he can.

He displays significant technical prowess, similar to that of Deimos. Together with Fellow09, he managed to coordinate a rescue effort to break Deimos out of Purgatory. When faced with a raid, Doc preferred to take advantage of AAHW communications, hacking into a soldier's laptop and tricking him into taking out most of his own team, before heading out and finishing off what was left himself.

It is also implied that Doc has knowledge about how the Madness universe works, given that he either knew how to perform the operation to save Deimos from the afterlife in the first place, or was instructed to do so by some higher authority. He also restores Hank's memory from an Improbability Drive backup using a network share in the opening sequence of Madness Combat 9.5, which would require intimate knowledge that Hank was in The Other Place at the time, pinpointing his location and beginning an upload. Doc may even have done this for Hank whenever he died.

In combat, Doc appears to be skilled with his VSS Vintorez rifle. He is shown able to shoot a soldier in the eye through a pair of binoculars at long range, suggesting excellent marksmanship. In addition to this, he is also proficient in the use of grenades, throwing one around a corner to kill an engineer.
