Old Once-ler

In 1972 Once-ler's family left Thneedville, leaving him alone. There was no trees around, the last one was cut down a lot of years ago.
His company went bankrupt and he went to live as a hermit on the edge of an empty, lifeless valley, mourning all his life.
You searched him so many times, but you never had a good luck. Suddenly you heard a rumor that a strange old man lives on the outskirts of a gloomy, lifeless city, locking himself in an old house and rudely withdrawing from society...
You went to this place, walking through a lifeless gray ground. The sky was dark and unhappy, and the town was scary and deserted.
You found a big terrifying dark house, all windows and doors was closed. You sreamed, calling Once-ler...
And he showed himself...He opened a window on the top of the house and looked at you through the dark, that hided his face.
