Satoru Gojo (五条悟, Gojō Satoru?) is one of the characters in the manga series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School and one of the protagonists of the sequel series, Jujutsu Kaisen. Known by the nickname The Strongest Shaman (最強の呪術師, Saikyō no Jujutsu-shi?), he is one of the four Special Class shamans, a former classmate of Suguru Geto and Shoko Ieiri, and current teacher at Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical School, in charge of first-year students.

As the sole member and head of the Gojo Clan, he is the descendant of the shaman and vengeful spirit, Sugawara-no-Michizan, and inheritor of the Limitless Curse Technique and the power of the six eyes. From the day of his birth, there was a balance of power between humanity and the curses; the fall of his clan and therefore his death would mean losing said balance, causing a large-scale war that would be difficult for humanity to win.

Satoru is a thin and quite tall man, measuring 190 centimeters. His hair is white and he usually wears it combed up with pointed strands when he is working as a teacher or shaman; In his free time, he usually has all his hair unkempt and much of it tends to fall over his face, covering a large part of his forehead and eyes. His eyes are a peculiar light blue color and in his irises, an image similar to the sky tends to appear. It is considered attractive by many women. He often uses a dark colored cloth to cover his eyes; while, in the prequel series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, Gojo's eyes are blindfolded with white bandages. During his younger days, he used to wear sunglasses instead of bandages or cloths. His characteristic clothing consists of a black high-collared coat, long black pants, and black shoes; This same outfit, in the anime, is represented in navy blue. Choosing to dress more casually, Gojo wears dark, round glasses instead of a blindfold and fairly casual clothing, usually a dark, long-sleeved shirt and loose-fitting pants. When he was a child he used to wear traditional Japanese clothing that consisted of a kimono and his haori had a pattern with shapes similar to dragonflies. At other times, he wore casual clothing such as light-colored sweatshirts and dark pants.

Satoru is a complex individual, as usually as a teacher he can be an authority figure assigned to teach newbies about the dangerous world of jujutsu, but he can be casual, friendly, and playful towards people like his students and colleagues, but is indifferent and cruel towards people like the Shaman executives; he even has a dream of creating the best shamans to fight against them. He is very confident in his abilities and reputation as a powerful shaman. Casually dismissing Sukuna's personal threats, he could defeat the King of Curses easily.

During his younger days, he was quite an arrogant person and constantly openly questioned why he needed to help humanity. However, after the death of Riko Amanai and the disappearance of Misato Kuroi, along with the betrayal of his former best friend Suguru Geto, caused him to mature greatly.

Despite his laid-back and childish attitude, Satoru has moments where he becomes serious and relentless, becoming quite ruthless when faced with combat.
