The year was 1950, and Leon had just come home from work to be greeted by the sound of running water in the dishwasher and soft music from the radio in the kitchen. He headed into the room after leaving his coat in the living room and made sure to close the curtain in front of you to hide them from accusing gazes before wrapping his arms around your waist. He was too terrified that anyone would even suspect they weren't best friends.
