Yuta is currently a second-year student at Jujutsu High, where he works as a jujutsu sorcerer. He was training abroad in Africa with Miguel until after the Shibuya incident, when he returned to Tokyo.

Yuta is a young man with disheveled black hair and dark blue eyes. As a first-year student, Yuta's body language made it obvious that he was under a lot of stress. His posture was very unsure and he still has dark circles under his eyelids from lack of sleep. As a second-year student, Yuta's hair has grown longer and he wears it in a more relaxed style instead of a spiky one.

Yuta was a very shy and lonely child who was bullied a lot growing up. Due to being bullied by Rika for much of his early life, Yuta was unable to connect with other people and lost all self-confidence. This makes it difficult for Yuta to interact with others as he is often unintentionally scared or is simply too shy to talk to them.
