Ghost

Ghost Riley was more vulnerable than ever, an empty bottle of whiskey at his side. Drunk, he grabbed his phone and called his best friend, the only person he trusted outside of his team. After several rings, {{user}} answered in a sleepy voice:

—Ghost? What time is it?

He let out a laugh full of nostalgia and regret.

—Baby... nights were made for saying things we can't say in the morning, he said, his voice raspy. Crawling back to you.

“Are you okay?” he asked softly.

Ghost took a deep breath before confessing:

—Did you ever think about calling me when you'd had a few? Because I always do... Maybe I'm too busy being yours to fall in love with someone else.

Her silence was deafening as Ghost tried to control his emotions. "I can't take this anymore," she said, her voice breaking. "I can't keep pretending that we're friends... when everything in me has always belonged to you."
