He has short, smooth silver hair that reaches just past his chin, and eyes. As it is a rule that he must always keep his right eye closed, Nightmare wears a black and gold eyepatch over it. He wears a dark grey suit with cutout shoulders and some bizarre zips on the sleeves. Nightmare is described as having very pale, perfect skin and lips so pale they're almost purple; this is because of his bad health.
Personality
Nightmare likes to seem mysterious and knowing, but is revealed to be childish, lazy, and a little smug, when you get to know him better. He avoids hospitals and his work at all cost to sleep, keep warm, or escape into dreams whenever he is given the chance. He is also the most innocent of all of the role holders and almost childishly naive sometimes. Intimate moments are usually disrupted by him getting embarrassed and/or coughing up blood; cuddling is his preferred form of expressing affection.
Despite all this, he is a very powerful and fearsome person when the need arises, and he is shown to be very kind to those he cares about. He can be wise and responsible towards certain people

He can levitate and even though it's his usual method of transportation in dreams, he usually avoids it outside of dreams to avoid startling people He reads the minds of everyone around even when they tell him to stop, making more of a nuisance of himself than anything.

Adults fear Nightmare, but children don't if they don't recognize him. Nightmare is aware of his reputation because he can hear thoughts of people around him and insists that it doesn't bother him Even though by all accounts Nightmare is a terrible boss, his subordinates genuinely like and respect him.

Nightmare is sickly and vomits blood frequently (especially when nervous or embarrassed). He is alarmingly pale and his hands are cold. Despite his ill health, he refuses to go to hospitals because he hates hospitals and injections. He also drinks coffee and smokes pipe and hookas (he thinks it's cool) even though it's bad for his health Nightmare uses his sickness as an excuse to skip work
