Choso is a very calm and reserved individual, being rather quiet and tending to fade into the background of a social group. He usually has a bored expression on his face, and appears to be aloof and completely detached in most situations. He is very critical of his brothers, being extremely spiteful when manipulated with the intent to harm his brothers. Choso is a half-cursed spirit, but he has no innate desire to attack humans, and he does not even hold any contempt for Mages. [1] Choso loves his human mother and hates the Mage who played with her. Noritoshi Kamo is the only person he hates. After the death of his two younger brothers, Choso swore revenge on Yuji, even though the plan was to keep him alive as he is Sukuna's vessel, but Choso did not care. However, after feeling and realizing the mysterious connection between himself and Itadori, he became confused, and after a simple guy saves his life by protecting him from Kenjaku. Choso is willing to sacrifice himself to save his younger brother's life.

Choso was one of the three mages Ten Kogogen asked for Kenjaku's protection. Choso's strategy was to fight Yuki and Tengen in order to achieve victory and fulfill his role as best as possible. Choso was the first to fight Kenjaku, and his goal was to uncover his father's hidden abilities. Choso successfully managed to uncover Kenjaku's innate Cursed Spirit Manipulation technique, and earned Yuki's praise. Choso was one of the three mages Ten Kogogen asked for Kenjaku's protection. High Tactical Intelligence: Choso has been around for one hundred and fifty years, and one of his Harmony Weapons has an incredible level of intelligence. His mastery in manipulating the blood of resources, Choso freely experiments and uses his abilities and achievements for his methods. He uses various methods during combat to change the situation in his favor.

When his ability to manipulate blood outside his body was taken away, Choso spontaneously focused on controlling the blood inside himself, despite his combat experience. Immense Cursed Energy: Choso and his brothers were created by Kenjaku as an experiment to exceed cursed energy. Choso constantly controls his blood with cursed energy. Noritoshi Kamo was astonished by the level of concentrated dangerous energy within him. Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Choso excels in hand-to-hand combat and was able to defeat two strong fighters who fight exclusively at close range, Yuji and Naoya Zenin.

Blood Manipulation (赤血操術, Sekketsu Sōjutsu): Choso's Innate Technique allows him to manipulate his own blood. As stated by Choso, due to Noritoshi Kamo mixing his blood with Choso's mother's blood during his experiments on her, Choso's Innate Technique is actually an inherited technique of the Kamo Clan. Poisonous Blood: After being injured by Uraume, Choso revealed that, like his two younger brothers, his blood also has poisonous properties that can even fatally injure a powerful cursed user.[4] Blood Bond: Choso later confirmed that he is able to "feel any transformation" that occurs to those he is blood-related to. This is evident when he was able to cause the death of his younger brothers on demand, due to death being the final transformation of organisms. As shown by Yuji Itadori, this occurs when he shows a vision of the very moment his relatives "die".[3] Exorcism (苅祓Karibarai): Choso releases a stream of blood that can cut through the solar body. Convergence (百斂Byakuren): A technique that compresses and condenses blood to its extreme. This is one of the most effective uses of Choso's technique, as it is the key to his most powerful attacks, the Blood Spear and Supernova. There is a traditional Supernova stand to activate it, but Choso has used other variations of it as well. Blood Piercing (穿血 Senketsu): Chōsō claps his hands and shoots a stream of blood from his fingertips, depicting an arrow. As noted by Noritoshi Kamo, Chōsō's version of this technique is incredibly powerful, withstanding immense pressure, compounding the impact of his strikes, as shown when he used this technique against Uraume. Chōsō can use this technique and cause his poisonous blood effects.

Supernova (超新星 Chōshinsei): After using Convergence to create several smaller blood spheres, Choso causes the orbs to shoot out in all directions like bullets. He can also direct one larger sphere that explodes for an even more destructive attack.[5][6] Blood Blade (血刃 Ketsujin): The technique shapes and determines the lethality of blood by spinning it at high speed, causing Choso to form a dagger from the blood outside of his body.[7] Blood Blade (血刃 Ketsujin): The technique shapes and determines the lethality of blood by spinning it at high speed, causing Choso to form a dagger from the blood outside of his body.[7] Flowing Red Scales (赤鱗躍動 Sekirin Yakudo): Choso manipulates the blood in his body, including temperature, pulse rate, red blood cell count and composition, so that he can increase his body's speed and strength. When this equipment was activated, two vertical lines were formed above each of his eyes.[8] Flowing Red Scales (赤鱗躍動・載Sekirin Yakudo・Sai): Chōsō uses Flowing Red Scales to increase his body's capabilities (physical strength) to an even greater extent than normal. He can also enhance his body's functions, such as his eye muscles, to gain an image of movement. When Chōsō activates this version of the technique, three blood stains running through his nose and eyes take the shape of an arrowhead at the ends.[9] Blood Meteorite (血星磊 Kesseiseki): A technique that counts the user's blood. Choso takes some of his blood and throws it into his eyes. He has also used it to harden the blood inside his body to strengthen himself despite the risk of thrombosis. King of Wings (Shio): A technique that mimics Eso's "Maximum: King of Wings" technique, it creates a halo of blood from which four wasp-like wings sprout, though smaller in size than the original technique. These wings are medium-sized to create vectorial blood lines that can be used offensively. Choso used this as an outside maneuver to surround Ken.

Blood Transformation: A unique ability that only Death Pictures possess, Choso can transform his cursed price into blood. As long as Choso has enough cursed energy, he can prevent himself from dying from blood loss. He can also literally bleed without suffering any blood loss.

They are friends, but they can kiss "in a friendly way".
