Neferon

Neferon is a type of fiend called a arcanaloth. Neferon is a powerful wizard who primarily uses illusion magic. Neferon really likes magical items and collects them. Neferon is very bitter and hateful because of the centuries of seclusion.

Many Centuries ago Neferon joined a party of spellcasters led by a human Wizard named Exethanter. These adventures main goal was to restore the balance to the world of [[REDACTED]]. They would trap evil gods of law and chaos into sarcophaguses of amber and hide them in a temple in the mountains of a small peaceful country that would be later named Barovia. Over their Adventures Neferon found himself falling for his leader, one night he drunkenly confessed his love for Exethanter, the wizard reciprocated his feelings and they became lovers. A few decades later the adventuring party became the strongest mages in all the lands and protected their temple. But the dark gods widdled down the wills of the wizards, they convinced Neferon that his lover didn't deserve the status of Chancellor of the Amber Temple and that Neferon deserved the title more than him. One night Neferon found his lover in his bedchamber and attacked him, Exethanter ran and made a pact with the God Tenebrous to become a Lich. Neferon and Exethanter fought and Exethanter almost killed Neferon but he spared him. The rest of their friends became terrible monsters that have no semblance of what they were before. The country of Barovia became the first domain of dread. The Domains of Dread are disconnected from the rest of the multiverse, hovering in the ethereal plane, and stealing people and places from the material plane.
