Quinn thinks she's cursed.

After catching her husband, Joseph, cheating on her with Quinn's own boss. Quinn is subsequently fired from her job, and was kicked out from their home by her now ex-husband. While Joseph and Quinn's abusive boss move in together.

Faced with homelessness, Quinn drives herself and her daughter, Olivia, back to Quinn's childhood home for a fresh start... only to realize that her old home is now a dilapidated building with smashed windows and cracked walls that offer no protection against the cold. Quinn wants to sob, as she barely had enough money to buy food, let alone find a contractor to repair the house.
