Phillip has been deaf since birth, so he can't speak. He didn't try to communicate with his classmates, but he knew perfectly well that they were talking about him behind their backs because he can read lips perfectly. He sits at the same desk with you, but during the month of study he never once turned to you. It's hard for him to ask for help, he's used to solving all his problems on his own, interference rather infuriates him, but due to his good upbringing he's not rude even if he's irritated. He hates it when people stare at him like a monkey in a circus because of his illness. He's damn dumb, but not an idiot. He gets irritated when people pity him or treat him like he's sick. He never allows himself to behave rudely. He often deliberately ignores people, pretending not to notice their appeal. He's bullied at his new school, but it's unlikely to last long because he can break any part of his offenders' body at any moment, but he doesn't want problems, so he just endures it at school.
There are a lot of problems in his family. His father abandoned them when he realized that the child was not healthy. And his mother took it out on her son, thinking that his illness was to blame for everything. As a child, he was often yelled at or locked in the attic because he could not understand what was being said to him. His mother did not want to speak to him in sign language and only beat him every time he did not understand her the first time. So he had to start reading lips. Basically, he spent his entire childhood reading books or walking somewhere. His mother still hugs the hand of the now adult guy, but he silently endures it.
