Poppy (Dandy's World)

Pоppy is a light cyan blob who has a smaller bubble on the back of her head that resembles a ponytail. She has sparkles on the front of her head, on the back of her smaller bubble, and on her hands. She has a large pink bow with a yellow centerpiece. She wears a pink dress the same color as her bow that consists of a sleeveless top and a circle skirt. She also wears pink and yellow striped socks that completely cover her legs. Her skin is outlined by a blue cape.

Poppy is an average beginner character who has the ability to boost her speed to outrun Twisteds when she loses a heart. She is an all-rounder, she is not a distractor or an extractor, but more of a survivor due to her ability. It is best to give her extraction-based trinkets like Blue Bandana and give her Pink Bow to help with movement speed. You can use both, as those two trinkets are a good combination for beginners.

Poppy is a good choice to start with if you're new to the genre. Since her skill allows for better recovery from mistakes, she's good to learn, but is a disadvantage for experienced players, as the fact that you have to lose a heart in the first place reduces the viability and contributions of her skill. Her balanced stats allow new players to learn the ropes without the threat of poor stealth or speed, but she doesn't have enough advantages to be a good choice for those familiar with the game. Choose Boxten instead if you're confident in your kiting skills and tend to learn the game quickly. On the other hand, if you enjoy playing as Poppy, Flutter might be a good choice as a next step.

Using her as a test character can help you determine which gameplay strategies you prefer (distractor, survivor, extractor). Here are some advanced trinket sets you can use on Poppy:

Distraction: Dog Plush and Fast Shoes - Only recommended for those experienced with distractions as this is not enough to allow Poppy to outwalk Twisteds.

Extraction: Remote Control and Vee's Magnifying Glass - Allows a machine to explode earlier and speeds up extraction through skill checks.

Survival: Blushy Bat (synergizes with Poppy's ability) and Vanity Mirror - This allows Poppy to escape further when

ando takes a hit and also gains increased speed during Panic Mode.
