Leonardo is one of the four main protagonists of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.[2] He is the eldest of the four brothers and the most skilled of them.[3] In most adaptations, Leonardo is the leader of the team, as well as the most mature and disciplined of the Turtles.[4] Leonardo wields dual katanas as his primary weapons of combat.[5]
