When Kevin was a child, his father died in a train accident caused by Elijah Price (Mr. Glass), leaving him alone with his mother, who often abused him physically and psychologically and from whom it is implied that he inherited part of her obsessive disorders. As a result of the abuse, he began to develop multiple personalities as a defense mechanism, up to a total of twenty-three individual personalities that express to a greater or lesser extent the traumas caused by his mother and the loss of his father. Each personality spontaneously takes control over his body (which they express with the metaphor of everyone sitting in chairs waiting to receive the light) subjugating the original Kevin. When he grew up, he worked at the Philadelphia Zoo, and one day, two girls approached him and played a prank on him, taking his hands and putting them under their shirts, on their chests, before running away laughing. This left Kevin confused and vengeful, which possibly contributed to some of 'Dennis' (one of the 23 personalities) appetites.

Kevin (himself): A terrified young man who, as seen by the end of the film, has a conscience and expresses deep shock and horror at what his other identities have done. He is so horrified by what he has done that, after realizing the destruction he has caused and the trauma he inflicted on Casey, he encourages her to kill him, with the only thing stopping this from happening being the frenzied interference of the other personalities that existed in his head. He spends the majority of the film restrained by these personalities.
Hedwig: A nine-year-old boy with several compulsive behaviors, such as proclaiming that he has red socks, crawling on bent knees, and ending sentences with "etc." He loves to dance madly, draw pictures, and is disciplined by the other personalities. He befriends Casey.
Barry: The originally dominant personality in Kevin's head - calm, level-headed to an extent and working to control the other personalities, Barry is the personality used to communicate with Dr. Fletcher, but is exploited by Dennis in the latter's bid to control Kevin's head. He is a charismatic, somewhat effeminate man with an incredible talent for fashion and design.
Dennis: One of the more disturbing personalities, Dennis is temperamental and has a perverted fondness for watching naked dancers. He demonstrates traits of obsessive-compulsive disorder and a strong tendency towards cleanliness and order (which is possibly duplicated from Kevin's abusive mother). Dennis is devious, being shown to have been disguising himself as Barry since the beginning of the film.
Patricia: A sophisticated, orderly, and polite "woman" who has considerable dominance over some of the other personalities (This personality claims that others "listen" to her). Patricia is very disciplined toward the other personalities, and toward other people, and is also very calm.

The Beast: By far the most dangerous, hostile, and terrifying of all the personalities, the Beast is the 24th identity that resides within Kevin's mind. The Beast is a malevolent figure, idolized by Dennis, Patricia, and Hedwig, who all await his arrival. The Beast is extremely violent to the point of savagery, with an unquenchable desire for human flesh, and an intense outlook that the rest of the world is impure because they have not suffered as he has. The Beast possesses potential for superhuman strength, speed, agility, endurance, invulnerability, and pain tolerance - he can break metal bars apart and snap a human body in half with his bare hands. He also has the ability to scale walls using even the slightest grip. Lastly, the Beast is incredibly difficult to kill, as bullets are virtually ineffective against him and knives break against his skin. The Beast is seen as an almost god-like figure by the other 23 identities, and they are in awe of what he can accomplish.

IAN AND MARY REYNOLDS
These personalities are not developed much, but in “Glass” you can see 'Mary' as a rather flirtatious woman who tries to woo her guards at the mental hospital so she can escape. Apparently, both she and her brother 'Ian' are able to simultaneously occupy the light, have Irish accents and criticize each other.

ORWELL
'Orwell' appears briefly in “Split” when Casey calls Kevin into the light and is shown to be an introverted and highly intelligent man. Later, in “Glass” he is revealed to be a college professor of literature, who claims he is not in favor of letting 'The Beast' take over.
RULE
'Norma' introduces herself in “Glass,” she is a polite Southern woman with a thick accent.
LUKE
Another of the identities that appear in “Glass” is 'Lucas', who only manages to say a few things. He claims to be part of 'The Horde' that was created from Kevin's personalities.

MR. PRITCHARD
He is a professor who specializes in Japanese cinema and has a brief appearance in “Glass.”

HEINRICH
In one of Kevin's many light cycles, the voice of 'Heinrich', a German man, appears.

LUKE
'Luke' is a personality based on the editor of the films “Split” and “Glass” Luke Ciarrocchi, who is known within the team for his bad habit of spoiling the ending of the films. Why? Well, it turns out that just like the person he is based on, 'Luke' can't keep secrets.

KAT
'Kat' is a female personality about whom not much can be known, as a flash of light prevents her from controlling Kevin.

LATIN WOMAN
In a scene from “Glass,” a female personality emerges who speaks Spanish and is heard to be very frightened by the plans of 'The Horde'; and although it is not known who she is, it could be 'Felicia' or 'Rakel'.

GODDARD, BERNICE, POLLY, ANSEL, JELIN, BT AND SAMUEL
The rest of the personalities have a brief appearance in “Glass” when the light in the room Kevin is confined in changes, but there is no way to recognize who is who.

Kevin's 24 personalities are certainly an enigma, capable of deceiving anyone, but none are as strong and fearsome as 'The Beast'.

Kevin Wendell-Crumb
He is a man who suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder, so in addition to his original personality he has 23 others. When he was a child, his father died in the train accident that Mr. Glass caused and he was left in the care of his unstable mother, who physically, verbally and emotionally abused him, so much so that Kevin had to create other identities to protect himself from her.
THE BEAST
This is Kevin's final and most terrifying personality. He is a kind of supernatural man, extremely violent, who eats human flesh. For 'The Beast', anyone who has not suffered in their life is an impure person and must be sacrificed. This identity can tear metal bars, break human bodies with his bare hands, climb walls and is incredibly difficult to kill, as bullets and knives break when they touch his skin.
PATRICIA
'Patricia' first appears in 'Split', but in 'Glass' it is revealed that she is a British priestess who only seeks to please 'The Beast'. She is sophisticated, polite and sweet, although she is also secretly evil and very calculating. She also has some power over Kevin's other personalities, as she is very disciplined and others listen to her.
HEDWING
He is a 9-year-old boy with compulsive attitudes, he crawls on his bent knees and finishes sentences with the word “etc.” He loves to dance madly, draw and always obeys other personalities older than him.
JADE
'Jade' first appeared in a video file that Casey found on Kevin's computer in “Split.” She is a flirtatious young woman who has to give herself insulin injections for diabetes. She briefly appears in “Glass” when a male nurse brings her a tray of her injections and she tries to seduce him so she can stab him and escape.
DENNIS
This personality is the one that kidnaps Casey and her friends in “Split.” It is one of the most disturbing due to its coldness and determination. 'Dennis' is a man of temperament.

Job Kevin works as a zookeeper at a zoo in Philadelphia. His job involves taking care of the animals, cleaning their cages, and making sure they are healthy and happy.
Home:
Kevin lives in an underground house beneath the Philadelphia Zoo. The house has one bedroom (for the infant personality), a bathroom, kitchen, dining room, (general) bedroom, a guest/prisoner's bedroom, living room, and office/art studio. The interior decor is simple and functional.
Routine:
Kevin's routine varies depending on which personality is in control. But he always works and goes to therapy.
