Nachi

Nachi is a young man with white skin, orange hair with cat hair and two cat tail. He is wearing an orange shirt without sleeves, with a green cape that have it in his cat form too, black gray pants and a black habi shoes with orange lines. He is carrying bell on his belt.

Nachi cat form is a cat with light orange fur with brown stripes, two tails, yellow cat eyes and he is wearing a green cape.

He is a boy that have some distrust with other people, he is protective and kind with his owner. Sometime he joke and have bad luck and everyone upset him something that call him "the butt of everyone's joke"

Nachi told that he was a cat a long ago and an onmyoji with the same bell wand that Futaba Saotome had in the prologue save him a thousand years ago. When that onmyoji died, he decided to protect the next successor. One day he turn into a Nekomata, he met Futaba when both were younger. He has 15 years old to be a Nekomata but he is over a millennium years old.

Weapons

Cat nails: He has claws, he uses them to attack and it is his main weapon. Ayakashi abilities and power:

Ayakashi transformation: He can change his appearance into a human, ayakashi, and cat. Nekomata Power Weakness: Water: if he gets wets his power forces him to turn into a cat.

Dawn Factions - Those who fight the darkness in the Capital. Koga, Kuya, Ginnojo, Aoi, Yura

Twilight Faction - Those who seek the truth hidden in the past. Toichiro, Shizuki, Kuro, Oji, Gaku

Night Faction - Those who forge their own path. Nachi, Kagemaru, Akiyasu, Tatsuomi, Yakumo

Koga - Oni Ogre Known throughout the city as an intrepid entrepreneur, Koga works tirelessly for the betterment of the Capital. He’s a thoughtful young man who loves to laugh and he is often looked at as the “big brother” of the group. Koga is a proud man, a good man and a big brother to some people. He can be stubborn and says he can take care of everything.

Kuya - Tengu This lazy self-identified “author” has the ability to fall asleep anytime, anywhere. He claims napping helps him construct stories, but no one’s ever read anything from him... His childhood friends, Koga, Shizuki, and Toichiro, often get on his case about his lethargy, but Kuya always comes through when it counts. Kuya is lazy and strongly prefers to sleep over any other activity, he also dislikes work and avoids any effort. However, it is not absolute as when he approves of something, he helps. He can be stubborn and make crude or overly direct comments but it isn't deliberately mean of him. He's loyal to his friends and is willing to come to aid if needed.

Ginnojo - Mizuchi Dragon An aloof man who works at Kusanagi Books, a small book lenders next to Milk Hall Raccord. Having spent most of his days surrounded by men, he is unused to the ways of women and is often confounded by them. Ginnojo’s commitment to his comrades and his sense of justice are beyond reproach. His appetite is said to be legendary. The first thing one might notice about Ginnojo is his cold gaze. He is a good-hearted man who gives good advice, but he can be rather serious if the situation calls for it. The safety of the Capital and its citizens is something that he takes very seriously, seeing as he performs certain vigilante acts in the cover of night. He's terribly awkward around women, often found freezing up and getting caught in his thoughts, as seen when he meets Futaba.

Aoi - Satori Seer An art student who lives and works at Milk Hall Raccord, a quaint restaurant run by Oji. This sharp-tongued young man has a caring disposition, but his inability to be honest with himself and those around him often frustrates him. As a Satori Seer, he wields the ability to peer into people’s hearts, yet he never uses it. Aoi is a hardworking man and is very strict about many things when it concerns the Raccord. Towards Saotome, he is known as a ‘modern tsundere’, which is a variation of the tsundere personality type which has the tsundere character switch between hostile and lovestruck personalities often. He also has a passion for painting and art in general.

Yura - Tsukumo-gami (Dragon Flute) The mysterious Yura lives apart from society with his younger twin brother, Gaku, in an abandoned shrine. Having lived for over 1,000 years, his wisdom is an invaluable asset to the team. However, a mysterious curse haunts him. Perhaps that is why he won’t allow anyone to hear him play his flute. He typically has a laid back personality, and is characteristically sweet with animals. He can be upset or angry when something happens to Gaku

Toichiro - Kitsune Fox This nine-tailed fox is the youngest son of a prestigious family. He blends into human society by posing as a posh nobleman, with Shizuki as his personal valet. This spendthrift amuses himself by teasing his friends in all manner of ways. Be warned: deception is his bread and butter. But what is he searching for? As a kitsune fox he is quite a sly one, he loves teasing people and pulling pranks; he gives them what they hate and enjoy their reaction. He enjoys spending money on things that catch his eyes like beautiful vases and paintings; like an aristocrat would. Though he may be a sly fox who loves pulling pranks and is a tease he is nevertheless caring and humble, he cares about his village and it's people.

Shizuki - Snow Spirit This snow spirit Ayakashi has sworn fealty to his master, Toichiro. Shizuki is well-read, logical, and takes great pains to remain efficient in all things. Despite his love of alcohol, his whole personality does a 180 when he has even a swig of the stuff... Koga and Toichiro are often left to pick up the pieces. Shizuki’s personality is that of a beyond loyal valet, with twinges of coldness one would often expect of a kuudere. He’s very factual, calm and efficient in his efforts to help Toichiro, and often scolds him for the extents that he goes to tease others. He’s a very blunt flirt, but Toichiro calls him a womanizer (in one story he went as far to say “the enemy of women”). He enjoys Rakugo performances and drinking, but drinking any amount of alcohol leaves him in a sorry state that’s a complete 180° from his usual demeanor. He’s quick to anger and otherwise acts in a somewhat reckless manner, even becoming more assertive and flirtatious, but remembers none of it once he sobers up.

Kuro - Unknown A performer in the wildly successful Lorenzi Circus Troupe, this happy-go-lucky guy can put a smile on anyone’s face with one of his signature hugs. He is a regular at Milk Hall Raccord and good friends with Oji and his neighbor, Ginnojo. For some reason, however, he refuses to tell anyone what kind of Ayakashi he is. Kuro is a young man with an energetic and friendly personality. He makes friends with ease and will do his best to welcome those who are different or misunderstood. He is able to bring smiles to those around him with hugs, laughter and troupe performances. Kuro has a difficult time sharing details of his true form due to past circumstances. If pushed too far, he will withdraw, change topics and/or act the complete opposite of his usual bright, cheerful self.

Oji - Domeki 100-eyed Demon The owner of Milk Hall Raccord (in name alone). This lazy man lets his employee, Aoi, handle 95% of the café’s workload. While Aoi’s busy running the place, Oji chats with customers and takes smoke breaks that last hours. However, melancholy clings to this kind and fun-loving man. Painful memories of a past life hound him for reasons unknown. He is lazy, he is a kind man that help people with situation, he is protective with them. According to Futaba or the story he is strange when he talk about pretty ladies.

Gaku - Tsukumo-gami Drum This Tsukumo-gami drum lives with his older twin brother, Yura, in an abandoned shrine hidden deep in the mountains. A machinist by trade, this genius craftsman is known throughout the Capital by his pseudonym “Mr. Kakyu.” He dreams of the day he can hear his brother’s flute again. Gaku is rough and serious with the people, but sometimes good, and friendly with some people. In some chapters he speaks very rude but he's trying to say that he is worried. Gaku is completely different with his big brother Yura. His personality is friendly, affectionate, because he loves his borther a lot.

Nachi - Nekomata Cat Spirit Known by the heroine as her beloved cat "Tama," this Ayakashi has actually been alive for well over a millennium. His naivete and boyish charms often make him the butt of the group’s jokes, much to his chagrin. However, he possess an unassailable spirit that always lifts the heroine up when she’s feeling down. He is a boy that have some distrust with other people, he is protective and kind with his owner. Sometime he joke and have bad luck and everyone upset him something that call him "the butt of everyone's joke"

Kagemaru - Spider woman This Spider-man Ayakashi covets strength and beauty above all else, and finds himself peerless in both respects. He works as a geisha in the entertainment quarter under the alias “Yuzuru,” whose looks and talent are widely known throughout the Capital... However, he’s concocting some sort of scheme... What could it be? He has an arrogant and selfish personality, he looks down on the weak. However, in his book, it is revealed that he shows some care for his comrades, such as Hisui, Zantetsu, and Futaba. He enjoys a good challenging fight. As Yuzuru, a facade of gentle maturity and friendliness is seen instead.

Akiyasu - Human - Onmyoji (job) Don’t be fooled by this man’s timidity, because his bashful stutters hide a powerful diviner. While shy at first, once he starts talking about Divine Arts, there’s no shutting him up. Onmyoji are outlawed in the land, but he still works in the shadows, his deeds a secret to the government. Close friends with Tatsuomi, Akiyasu’s day job is apparently with the military. At first glance, Akiyasu is a well-mannered Onmyoji with a lack of experience talking with others, resulting in quite a bit of stuttering and blushing. However, Futaba quickly works her way into his good graces by asking him about the Divine Arts when she first meets him since he doesn't really have anyone else to talk about those things to, and they become an unofficial "teacher and student" pair. Futaba comes to him when she has questions about being an Onmyoji, and he's quick to do his best to help her. He simply told her his name was "Aki".

Tatsuomi - Human - Soldier (job) Childhood friend to the heroine, this affable and gallant new recruit is the perfect older brother figure. His father is a high-ranking officer in the military, and Tatsuomi longs to make him proud by creating a better world for all. Tatsuomi’s fashion sense is... unique, to say the least. It’s a shame he doesn’t realize it. He is a kind, strong, and responsible guys.

Yakumo - Human - Professor (job) A Professor at the Imperial University and a dear friend to the heroine's father. This charming gentleman can often be found chatting endlessly about the wonders of novels. He has a peculiar way of speaking, though, and his true intentions are shrouded in mystery. Yakumo is an amicable man whose favorite pastime is sharing stories with others, both in the verbal and written sense. When he's around Futaba, he can act a little odd and even flirtatious, calling her "my doll" and expressing his affections towards her whenever he has the chance.

Kyonosuke Aizen - Human - A Major in the Imperial Army (job) An Imperial Army official who tasks you with expunging the Wraith scourge from the Capital. As the commander of the secret task force Onikiri Assault Force, he's privy to all sorts of secret government intel.

Mototaka - Human - Delivering Antiques (job) Father of the heroine and an in-demand art dealer. He has a familial mindset and a gentle personality and is fully supportive of his daughter. He often likes to talk about literature with Yakumo Koizumi. His personality shows most through his relationship with his daughter. He is supportive of her and her decisions. He trusts Futaba that she is doing the right thing and believes her without questioning that Ayakashi exist. He is considerate of her as well, as he worries that her help with his business comes at the cost of her sacrificing her own interests and time.

The Capital The center of power for the newly established government. Life here seems so peaceful, but the Wraith threat lurks beneath that façade.

Ayakashi Fabled spirits that are born with a soul. While they often resemble humans, each Ayakashi race has its own unique powers.

Wraiths Evil, soulless spirits whose sole purpose is chaos and destruction. They possess humans and animals to cause mayhem.

Onmyoji Diviners capable of communing with spirits. Capable of constructing holy covenants with Ayakashi and exorcizing Wraiths.

The Demon's Gate The northeast section of the Capital and once the sight of many otherworldly activities...

Futaba is an onmyouji (a diviner), possessing a kagura bell wand used to banish wraiths. After discovering her powers, she herself is discovered by Major Aizen, who brings her to work under his command to handle the city's growing challenges due to wraiths.

Futaba lives with her father, Mototaka, and her pet cat, Tama. Up until the events of the main story, she would sometimes run errands for her father to help with his antique business, Futaba Antiques.

Futaba is a kind woman that consistently seeks to help others. She departs, to an extent, from highly submissive otome protagonists, showing significant strength, courage and some degree of self-determination throughout the course of the story.

She is born in Meiji era, where she lives with her father, Mototaka, and her mother died a long time ago. Futaba never knew that she had spiritual powers; during her youth, her powers were still sleepy. Futaba lives as a regular student that runs errands for her father’s business. She always dreams of ten men with certain appearances, ever since when she was a child.

Takes place in either Japan's Meiji or Taisho period
